With over 6 years of coaching and competition experience - plus with the title of NSW/ACT Open A Female Speed Champion under her belt - Tahlia knows what it takes to push all ages and abilities to new heights.

Tahlia is the head coach of the Climb Fit Academy team, and is a coach for our kids Wall Sharks program. She is also certified with both Certificates III & IV in Fitness. So whether it be fine-tuning micro-movements or finding the confidence and power within to tackle the toughest of training regimes, Tahlia is passionate about making sure you get that send, no matter your age or ability.

KERRY-LEE KIRK

CLIMB FIT KIRRAWEE

KerryLee has over 18 years of experience working in both 1-1 and group sessions, and is currently the head coach of the Wall Sharks kids club at Climb Fit Kirrawee. KerryLee also manages the Learn to Lead course with the Australian School of Mountaineering ‘Take it Outside’ Programme.

Her passion for climbing has taken her all over Europe, South Africa and Australia on mountaineering adventures, sport climbing and bouldering. She loves nothing more than getting people hooked on this fantastic sport.

Started climbing 30+ years ago as a way of overcoming a fear of heights. This quickly developed into an overwhelming passion to push both body and mind to its limits. Started out Sport climbing, but also dabbled in trad along the way before settling into bouldering.

My happy place would be hanging from the roof of a cave somewhere outdoors.

Paul’s Specialties Include:

  • Fear management, heights, falling and failure

  • Climbing tips for the "mature" athlete
  • Foundations of climbing - footwork, body positioning and basic movement

  • Individual assessment to identify and improve weaknesses and build on strengths

  • Techniques for climbing steep overhanging routes

Ben started climbing in 2016 and has been passionate about all types of climbing and teaching since. He loves finding fun and interesting ways to improve weak areas for people of all ages and abilities. He has years of experience teaching kids and young adults. He currently coaches our Wallsharks and Introduction to climbing group courses. 

As a Master of Chiropractic Science graduate he has substantial knowledge of the human body and movement.

Jane is a dedicated and passionate fitness professional who has made it her mission to help individuals improve their quality of life through functional fitness. Experienced as a Group Fitness Instructor, Pilates Instructor and Personal Trainer, Jane has developed a well-rounded approach to fitness that emphasises flexibility, strength and conditioning. 
 
Jane is running Circuit and Pilates classes at St Leonards and Macquarie Climbfit.  Gym specific Personal training is available at both locations.
 
Jane’s specialties include:
 
  • Customised workout programs to suit each client’s unique needs and goals. Whether the objective is weight loss, muscle gain or overall fitness improvement.
  • Building a strong and balanced body incorporating pilates principles and functional training methods into sessions focusing on control and stability

With just shy of 10 years of climbing experience under his belt, Evan is super passionate about the sport and what it can offer to everyone and anyone. Drawing on years of elite level training in other sports and coaching for a number of years in those fields, Evan brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the sport of climbing whether you’re just starting out or have been climbing for a while and want to bump up to that next level.  
 
As an avid outdoors person with an enthusiasm for sharing his knowledge with others, Evan’s mission is to share the joys & benefits of climbing with as many people as he can.

SAM HIGHAM - PT

Sam has a PhD in Sport and Exercise Science and has been an avid rock climber for over 10 years, bouldering up to V10. He combines his rock-climbing experience and training knowledge to provide evidence-based strength and conditioning programs and coaching for climbers.

Sam has been working with climbers for over 8 years and has an established record of success. ZAC COHEN

A former competitive gymnast Zac moved sports to climbing in 2010 and has made it his passion ever since. He started as a student in the Wall Sharks program from a young age, moving to intermediates as a teenager and then becoming a coach and now coordinator of the program as an adult.

He has extensive experience running all levels of climb-fits kids program including the high performance Academy and has great enthusiasm towards helping people of all ages achieve their climbing goals as a Private Coach.

NINA TETZLAFF - KIRRAWEE

Nina specialises in Human Biomechanics utilising the Functional Patterns Method to improve peoples pain, posture, gait, and athletic potential. 

She teaches you how to train your body as an integrated system by learning how to create leverage the correct way for maximising mechanical output.  As climbers we know that the whole body is involved in scaling up the wall so why train the body isolated when you can integrate it. 

Nina’s remedial massage skills also help identify what areas of the body need a decrease in tension and what areas of the body actually NEED re-tensioning. 

If you or someone you know keeps having repetitive injuries then you need to identify what the root cause of that injury is and learn how to fix the engrained movement pattern that keeps flaring it up.

Mika is an ASCA Strength & Conditioning coach and has been climbing for the last 10 years. She loves helping people apply strength training principles to their sport. Mika is also a member of Clinical Athlete, a mission-driven community where coaches and clinicians collaborate to provide evidence-based training and rehabilitation.
